The Green Team has been busy planning and executing ways to reduce the environmental impact associated with our office space. Take a look at a few of the things we have done so far. GYC leases our office space in the Downtower Office Building, making some larger measures prohibitive.
It’s Clear That Wyoming Must Change its Plan
One of the biggest obstacles to science-based wolf management in Wyoming is the fact that Wyoming classifies the wolf as a predatory animal in almost 90 percent of the state. GYC believes that the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) should manage wolves across the entire state of Wyoming as trophy game animals, just like other native wildlife. With the use of sound science and adaptive management techniques, WGFD can maintain a recovered population of wolves, while also addressing the needs of livestock producers.
