Grand Teton
Grand Teton Wildlife Brigade
GYC, through the generous support of the Oberdorfer Family, financially supported two interns in Grand Teton National Park this summer. Ariel Blotkamp and Lee Rademaker spent the summer working in Grand Teton National Park as part of the park's Wildlife Brigade. Mary Gibson Scott, superintendent of Grand Teton National Park and her staff were very grateful to have additional capacity to educate visitors about recreating appropriately around all wildlife, but especially grizzly bears. It was a very successful collaboration.
Wolves in Grand Teton and Jackson Hole
When people think of wolves, they usually think Yellowstone. But Grand Teton also has five named packs that roam in and out of the park.
Learn more about these unique packs and their habits in our new "Wolves in Grand Teton and Jackson Hole" guide, produced jointly with conservation groups in the region and the Park Service. "Wolves in Grand Teton and Jackson Hole" is sold at stores in and around the park, but you can download this guide for free here.
